Health Certificates for Domestic and International Pet Travel:

There may be animal health requirements specific to your destination and airline of travel.
Factors to consider include time frames, health certificate documents, vaccines, diagnostics, and anti-parasitic treatment.
As soon as you know your travel details, please schedule an appointment with Dr. Jan, a USDA Accredited Veterinarian, to discuss plans for requirements.
A telehealth appointment is recommended prior to the examination date to discuss the travel process.

Domestic Travel*

Domestic health requirements vary by state and airline.
Typically, proof of rabies vaccination, timing of exam before the date of travel, and proper health certificate documentation are all that is required.
It is the pet owner's responsibility to ensure all requirements are met.

The price of $250 (in addition to appointment fee) includes:

International Travel

International health requirements are usually extensive and stricter than domestic travel.
The health certificate must be processed and endorsed by the USDA, with an additional fee.
Be aware that travel between certain countries may be prohibited due to COVID-19 or other specific disease prevalence.
Rabies titer testing requires several weeks to months to process.
It is the pet owner's responsibility to ensure all requirements are met.
